The funeral service of the late Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was held at the St. Andrews Church, Imola Street, Owo, Ondo State today February 23.
The governor died in December 2023 after a protracted illness. The funeral service was attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima, state governors, APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, and others.
The late Akeredolu before his death was described as a man who fought for the integrity of his state and community at large.
While speaking during his vote of thanks, the incumbent governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa said that his principal would never be forgotten for the giant strides he made when he was alive as well as his cordial relationship they both had most especially during the political struggle.
Rotimi Akeredolu died on Wednesday 27th December 2023 in Germany after a long battle with cancer.
