Grace is a multifaceted concept that permeates various aspects of life, culture, and religion. It is often described as the unmerited favor and kindness bestowed upon individuals, typically by a higher power, which inspires feelings of gratitude, humility, and a sense of peace.
Grace in Religion
In many religious traditions, grace is a cornerstone of faith. In Christianity, grace is seen as a gift from God, freely given to humanity despite their flaws and sins. It is through grace that believers find salvation and strength to overcome life’s challenges. The Apostle Paul, in the New Testament, emphasizes this by saying, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Recently , a Clergyman in Ibadan Revd Barr Abiodun Olugbemide released another single titled ”Grace”.
The song summarizes the nature of God who is able to sustain a christian’s life more than expectation.
Olugbemide Abiodun Michael is an ordained priest in Anglican Communion, Ibadan Diocese, where he currently serves as the priest in charge of Ebenezer Anglican Church, and he is also the Chaplain of Bodija Archdeaconry Youth Fellowship (BAYF), and a Chaplain of Bodija Archdeaconry Guild of Stewards. Also, he is the Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He has been given the opportunity to author many books which includes the recent one, ”The Anointed Also Cry”
It would be recalled that Revd Olugbemide had earlier released a song ” Agbara” which summarizes the supernatural hand of the Almighty God to heal people and draw them closer unto him.
His new song ”Grace”, reveals the fact that Practicing it involves cultivating patience, forgiveness, and a positive attitude, even in difficult situations. It means extending compassion not only to others but also to oneself. This self-grace is crucial for personal growth, as it allows individuals to move past mistakes and embrace their journey, with a forgiving and understanding heart.
