Wunmi, the widow of the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, better known as Mohbad, has penned an emotional tribute honouring their time together, stating that the singer’s passing has brought her unbearable pain.
The rapper and songwriter died under mysterious circumstances on 12th September 2023. A Coroner’s Court in Ikorodu, established by the Lagos State Government, is working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the singer’s death.
Key witnesses summoned by the court include Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley; Samson Eletu, alias Sam Larry; Mohbad’s sister-in-law, Karimot Ogunbayo; Mohbad’s lawyer, Oluwasanmi Falade; the nurse who allegedly treated the deceased singer during this period, Feyisayo
Ogedengbe; and the driver who transported him to the hospital, Fidelis Esanbor.
In a tribute shared on her Instagram story on Thursday, Wunmi, who shares a son, Liam, with the singer, expressed that she will never come to terms with Mohbad’s death.
She wrote: “Ilerioluwa mi, Husband of my youth, my best friend! It’s been a year today — a year since you left me and our Liam in this cold world. It’s been so hard. I miss you so much. Liam misses you too. I wish you were here to see him; you would have been an incredible father. I still don’t know how I’ve survived without you.
“God, I wish you were here every single day — every millisecond of the day. Your passing brought me unbearable pain, but it has also shaped me. I’ve learned so much, and I’m still learning. I’ll never be okay with you not being here; it messes with my head. I keep thinking
